You are here:

The Dashboard provides real-time reporting using tables, charts, and graphs. The Dashboard displays any number of individual dashboard controls that allow you to understand your data at a glance. From here you can pinpoint outliers, identify gaps, and dive deeper into the data.

Dashboard data

The first time you log into the system, you will see the defaulted dashboard controls based on your security role.

Dashboards display data in the following formats:

  • Maps: Plot coordinates to clearly understand where assets are located.
  • Lists and tables: Review customized tabular data sets.
  • Charts: Compare trends using graphical representations.
  • Calendar: Visualize notifications with a weekly, monthly, or agenda view.

Hover over the name of the control to easily view each control’s filters, including the date range selected. Select the Configure option in the action menu to adjust the control’s filters.

Navigate to your dashboard

Below are the two ways to navigate to your dashboard.

  1. Select the Assetas logo in the top left of the menu bar.
  2. Select “My Dashboard” on the sidebar navigation.

Dashboard Configuration

Customize your dashboard to display your desired data in your preferred format. Not all configuration options may be available on mobile phones or smaller screens.

  1. Select “My Dashboard” on the sidebar navigation.
  2. Select the “Configure” button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to open the Dashboard Configuration tool.
  3. Use these tools to configure the dashboard:
    • Add a control to add new dashboard controls.  The next page will allow you to select a control to add to your dashboard.
      • New controls will be added by default to the bottom left corner of the existing dashboard configurations.
      • Reports with a saved “Dashboard Control Report Name” value will display that value when viewed from the dashboard.
    • Default dashboard resets your dashboard to the default configuration. You’ll lose any changes made thus far.
    • Template configures your dashboard based on a pre-defined template.  Select the dashboard template on the next page to apply that template.
    • Position controls by clicking and dragging controls to rearrange the dashboard controls or resize by clicking in the lower right-hand corner of each control.
    • Delete button to remove dashboard controls from your dashboard.

Manage individual controls

Any configuration changes to the control will only affect your specific dashboard control. Changes to the original (global) report must be made at the report level.

  1. Select “My Dashboard” on the sidebar navigation.
  2. There are three tools available for each control.
    • Refresh to reload this control with the latest available data. Alternatively, the F5 key refreshes the entire
dashboard, or you may reload the page for a full refresh.
    • Configure to rename the control and refine filters on the displayed data, such as date range.
    • Open as Report to open the dashboard as a report. This option will allow you to explore the data freely by refining filters, investigating specific data points, and/or saving the updated report under a new name.
