What can we help you with?
The Dashboard Templates allow users to create and apply configured Dashboards that include a curated set of pages comprised of reports. These can be designed at-will and are typically used to reflect job roles and functions, specific areas of interest, or are related to the Assetas security role.
Add a new dashboard template
- Expand the “Configuration” menu on the sidebar navigation.
- Expand the “Lists” menu.
- Select “Dashboard Templates” to view the list of Dashboard Templates.
- Select “Add” to add a new dashboard template.
- Populate the fields. Data fields with an asterisk (*) are required.
- Name*: Enter the name of the dashboard template.
- Icon*: The icon that best represents the dashboard.
- Include Dashboard Filter: Toggle on if this template will show the dashboard filter by default.
- Allow Anonymous Viewing: Toggle on to allow anonymous (unauthenticated) users to view this dashboard template. It is recommended that you only enable this functionality when approved by your security department.
- When activated, the dashboard template will become public, allowing anyone with the link to the dashboard template to view it. All dashboard controls (reports) must also be set to allow anonymous viewing for the individual controls to be visible in the dashboard template.
- When toggled on, an icon will appear in the list of dashboard templates in the Description column to indicate the dashboard template allows for anonymous viewing.
- When viewing the details of a dashboard template, there is a barcode icon within the Details header which will launch the Encoder tool. This tool will create a barcode with the link to the dashboard template embedded so public users may access this dashboard template without logging into the system.
- IP Allow List: The comma-separated list of individual IP addresses (x.x.x.x) or IP address ranges (x.x.x.x – x.x.x.x) that are allowed to access this anonymous dashboard template. Leave blank to allow access from any IP address.
- This field is only visible when Allow Anonymous Submittal is toggled on.
- External Identifier: Enter a unique identifier that represents this record in an external system.
- Description: Enter a detailed description of the dashboard template.
- Select “Add” upon completion.
