A “notification” allows users to share news and reminders easily. Notifications are often used to remind users about facility or area-wide events, best practices, and system maintenance notes.
View notifications
- Select the “Notifications” icon on the Menu Bar.
- Review the notifications, which are sorted by the Notification Start Date.
Create a notification
- Select the “Notifications” icon on the Menu Bar.
- Select the “Add a New Notification” button.
- Populate the fields. Data fields with an asterisk (*) are required.
- Notification Start Date*: Enter the date on which the notification will be displayed. This value is defaulted to the day after today.
- If the notification should not start immediately, enter a future date after which the notification will be displayed.
- Notification End Date*: Enter the date on which the notification will no longer display. This value is defaulted to two months from the day after tomorrow.
- The Notification End Date must be equal to or after the Notification Start Date.
- Title*: Enter the title of the notification.
- Body*: Enter the detailed body of the notification.
- Managed By*: Defaulted to the current user. The contact posting the notification.
- Event Start Date & Time: The date and time (converted to the user’s local time zone) when this notification event starts.
- Event End Date & Time: The date and time (converted to the user’s local time zone) when this notification event ends.
- The Event End Date & Time must be equal to or after the Event Start Date & Time.
- Asset: Select the corresponding asset where this notification applies (leave blank for all assets in the account). This field allows the notification to display the asset name.
- Notification Photo: The photo or representative picture to display for the notification.
- Notification Start Date*: Enter the date on which the notification will be displayed. This value is defaulted to the day after today.
- Select “Save” upon completion.
Notification Visibility Tips
- Once the notification is saved, a visibility indicator will appear under the name of the notification that indicates whether the notification is visible to other users of the system. Only the contact that created the notification can see this indicator.
- Notifications are visible when the current date is on or after the Notification Start Date and the current date is before the Notification End Date.
Manage notifications
- Select the “Notifications” icon on the Menu Bar.
- Below the body of the notification, you may:
- Edit this notification.
- Delete this notification.
